As a Financial Solutions Advisor within thecentralized segment of the Advisor Development Program, yourjourney begins by obtaining your Securities Industry licenses,where you receive dedicated and personalized classes for yourSecurities Industry Essentials [SIE], Series 7 and Series 66 Exams.
Once you obtain your licenses, you will be taught the foundationalskills needed to be an advisor – from acquiring, building andmanaging client relationships to considering a client’s complexfinancial picture and guiding them with advice and solutions tohelp them live their best financial lives, all while humanizingfinancial interactions. You will then join the centralized team asa Financial Solutions Advisor.
The Financial Solutions Advisors inthe centralized segment are phone-based licensed advisors(obtaining series 7 and 66 required) that provide clients withholistic financial advice and guidance by identifying broaderproduct and service solutions that meet their investment, savingsand liability management solutions. FSA’s demonstrate knowledge ofinvestments and financial markets and apply key principlesappropriate to the individual client’s investment needs.
Additionally, they align Merrill and Bank of America products andservices where appropriate. We will equip you with everything youneed, as you move through the stages of development and move intothe Merrill Financial Advisor role.
During this stage of yourjourney, you will receive the necessary training and guidancethrough a defined path to become the financial advisor you want tobe. You will have the opportunity to work with both affluent andhigh net worth clients, identifying needs, developingrelationships, reviewing investment goals, and preparing investmentrecommendations that align with the goals of both existing andprospective clients. Once you have honed your skills anddemonstrated success as an FSA, you typically will progress intothe next stage of training and development as a Merrill FinancialSolutions Advisor (MFSA). This role within the Advisor DevelopmentProgram provides the opportunity to pursue a career within MerrillWealth Management. You must obtain yourSIE within 60 days of being hired & your Series 7 & 66 within 120Days – a requirement for the role. Build your network. Starting at a financial center, you’llinteract with banking customers, small business owners and highernet worth clients alike. You’ll be able to leverage ourrelationships with one out of two households in the U.S. to helpeventually grow your business. Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice, deliver clientreviews/presentations with confidence and recommend strategies tohelp clients achieve their financial goals and lifepriorities. Collaborate with core banking and investment partners. Connectclients to all of the solutions we provide through Bank of Americaand Merrill to meet virtually all of their financial needs.

Pursuant to the SAFE Actrequirements, all employees engaged in residential loan mortgageoriginations must register with the federal registry system andremain in good standing. Since this position requires SAFE Actregistration, employees are required to register and to submit tothe required SAFE Act background check and registration process.
Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may resultin disciplinary action up to and including termination.
