Full Job Description Overview:
Ensures hospital billing (HB) integrity for healthcare system by accurately reviewing, researching, analyzing, and validating credit balances within Epic HB Resolute. Responsible for credit balance resolution by processing refunds for third party payers and patients, payment transfers, charge corrections, and/or adjustments. Stays current on all Managed Care contracts for all campuses. Knowledgeable of payor policies and claims processing, including but not limited to, coordination of benefits. Complies with state and federal statutes and regulatory agencies; Meet industry and productivity standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
: High school graduate required. Prefer some college level business, finance, or accounting courses. Four years of general clerical experience with one-year minimum experience in hospital business setting dealing with finance, accounting, or collection systems. May substitute years of experience with Four-year degree may substitute for 3 years clerical experience and one-year experience in business setting. A two-year degree may substitute for one year’s experience in a business setting. Must be organized, excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must have above average math skills and be keyboard and calculator proficient. Must be able to adapt quickly in high volume, fast-paced environment.
