Must-Haves:
1-2 years of customer service experience 1-2 years of insurance experience High School Diploma Compassion for patients, and passion for helping them with financial hardships

Have CRCR through the HFMA Experience with Financial statement and billing
Day-to-Day:
A regional health system in North Florida is looking to bring on two patient financial advocates for their Patient Financial Advocacy team. Their responsibilities will be as follows: Provide financial counseling, collecting payments, setting up payment plans, provide information regarding financial assistance. Competent in assisting patients with Medicaid, SSI/Disability and financial assistance applications, co-pay assistance, drug-assistance, and foundation/grant assistance. •They partner with vendors for these services. •Provide education to patients for medical bills, EOBs, Epic MyChart, etc.. Screen uninsured/underinsured patients to determine their eligibility for assistance programs Compile necessary documentation (income and assets) in accordance with the policies and procedures Follow up on submitted financial assistance applications timely Inform patients of approvals or denials Answer patient questions Insurance verification and eligibility Updating Demographics and Insurance
