Trust Officer Trust Officer Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree orequivalent JD is a plus 5 years of relevant trust administrationexperience Strong teammate who enjoys collaboration with internalpartners
CTFA, CFP, CFA
is a plus Trust investment knowledge and/orexperience with brokerage and/or delivery of trust services throughalternative channels
Trust Officer Responsibilities:
Responsiblefor trust account servicing, including ongoing account reviews,discretionary distribution reviews, relationship building withadvisors, clients, and attorneys, assisting in researching legalissues, knowledge of state and federal statutes governing trustadministration, and assisting in interpreting and executing actionsas advised by governing documents including Wills, Trusts,Codicils, Amendments, FLP, Contracts, etc. Actively participate inTrust Administrative Sub-Committee meetings. Perform administrativeaccount reviews annually. Accountable for servicing and retentionof existing accounts. Supervise and monitor new accountestablishment and funding Work with advisors, internal trust team,attorneys, accountants, and family members to ensure timely andaccurate estate settlement including review documents to assist infiguring out dispositive provisions, review/approve payment offinal expenses, a coordinate gathering of material/documents forthe final income tax return and estate tax return, assist insettling other asset flow into trust/estate, ensure properdistributions made to beneficiaries, ongoing communication withbeneficiaries and advisors, etc. Coordinate preparation of trusttax returns and Agency letters with an accountant, address codingand other issues impacting preparation of returns, assist in thedevelopment of new policies and procedures to address improvementsand changes, review tax returns for accounts administered, assistother team members to help ensure timely preparation and review ofall returns is completed. Lead and/or participate in projects as asubject matter authority (e.g., IRA development, coordination withFinancial Planning, system conversions, team process improvements,etc.).
