Job Description

Overview This hybrid position will be located at our Corporate Office in St. Petersburg, FL. E xpectations for h ybrid in-office schedule is three days a week, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Champs Sports is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior, Retail FinancialPlanner to join our high performing merchant team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving financial strategies and optimizing product assortments through effective inventory planning and sales forecasting. You will partner closely with Buyers, Allocators and cross functional teams to achieve financial targets while meeting our customers evolving needs. The anticipated start date for this role is June 2025; however, this is subject to change.   • Lead the development and execution of pre-season merchandise financial plans by category and channel that support business goals.
  • Manage in-season forecasts, identifying opportunities and risks. Provide actionable insight to optimize product flow, markdowns and improved margin.
  • Analyze sales trends, inventory levels and market data to inform buying strategies and drive revenue growth.
  • Partner with Buyers to build assortment plans aligned with business strategies and consumer demand.
  • Manage space productivity and SKU counts to ensure a balanced, profitable and customer focused assortment. Manage product life cycle.
  • Manage SKU Ladders to improve inventory flow and inventory turn.
  • Develop margin performance reports and present to Senior Leadership.
  • Drive cross functional collaboration with the Allocation team to ensure store product assortments and depth in key styles.
  • Develop strategies to improve gross margin through managing promotions, product mix, and factory pricing. Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance or a related field preferred
  • 5-7+ years of retail financial planning experience. Highly desirable in an omni channel setting in apparel or footwear business.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, knowledge of market trends, excellent presentation skills and a passion for driving sales and margin.
  • Exceptional business acumen and understanding of retail performance metrics.
  • Extensive experience and fluency in Excel tools and functionality required
  • Strong Knowledge of BI systems and Planning systems (SAS, Oracle, JDA)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

Benefits The annual salary range for this role is $85,000-100,000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
