Job Description The Associate Director, Insurance Advisor is responsible for managing property & casualty insurance for existing clients and supporting the advisor team with their relationships. This position may include formulating and implementing advice, partnering with insurance agents, insurance companies and insurance specialists to develop recommendations. The position includes oversight of the day to day needs of clients and proactive planning around complex client insurance needs. An Insurance Advisor will also provide guidance and direction to associates. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Development & Insurance Advisory Regular and ongoing client contact and communication ensuring clients are receiving world class service and attention for all insurance offerings Work with client advisors, clients, and agents to obtain information regarding the client’s existing coverage Analyze the client’s exposure to loss and understand their specific insurance need Provide customized advice and specialized insurance planning to high net worth and ultra-high net worth client families Design insurance recommendations and framework for presentation/delivery to the client Ensure recommendations and analysis provided is accurate and appropriate for the clients’ goals and risk management appetite Maintain fiduciary standards relative to data capture and plan creation Willingness to travel and client meetings as necessary Coordination of Insurance Advisory Partner with client fiduciaries, insurance agents, attorneys, etc. regarding client planning Serve as primary relationship manager with agents for and alongside clients Assist agents and underwriters in addressing any outstanding issues or documentation Assist clients in submitting claims acting as client’s advocate with agent and company Identifies and implements policy change in response to shifting insurance trends Business Development Network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices Assist Advisors by compiling financial information and preparing presentations for prospect and client meetings Leadership Continue self-development and maintain industry knowledge around Cresset’s core service offering of Insurance Advisory Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, or related field Minimum 5 years’ experience in property & casualty personal insurance High Net Worth insurance planning/management acumen, judgement, and experience Property & Casualty, Life, and Accident license(s), or ability to obtain Excellent communication and listening skills Strong engagement management skills Strong initiative, problem solving ability, adaptable and flexible Able to work independently without direct supervision Demonstrated ability to develop and manage plans and maintain client relationships Proficiency in Microsoft Office Maintain continuing education as required What We Offer At Cresset, we focus on people first. Starting base salary range:
$90,000 – $110,000. Salary will be based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and geographic location.
