Job Description
The TPI Program Associate serves as a member of The PhilanthropicInitiative?s (TPI) professional staff, focusing primarily on supportingprogrammatic and strategic planning work for TPI clients and projects.
The Program Associate works collaboratively as a member of teamssupporting specific TPI client engagements; assumes administrativeresponsibility for selected projects and programs; conducts research onphilanthropic issues; and contributes to broader TPI marketing andthought leadership efforts.
Essential Functions:
Provide administrativeand research support for TPI project teams, occasionally workingdirectly with clients on certain projects; Administer and supportprograms and projects such as scholarship programs, college successprograms, grants programs, and other initiatives that TPI designs andmanages on behalf of clients; Conduct due diligence on grant proposals,review funding requests, track and monitor funded projects, and scheduleand conduct site visits with or on behalf of clients; Develop materialsto support client needs including research on social issues, bestpractices, and model approaches; Conduct benchmarking research andcommunity needs assessments; Identify and present funding opportunities,including ideas for programmatic initiatives; Coordinate logistics andcommunications around scholarship programs, support scholarship reviewprocesses, and organize workshops and other events for scholarshiprecipients; Provide support for strategic planning and facilitation,including designing and implementing surveys of key stakeholders andgrant recipients; compiling research and other materials; and assistingwith preparation for planning sessions/retreats with clients; and Planand coordinate events, including events connected with corporatevolunteer programs, college success programs, and grantee convenings.

Qualifications Preparation,Knowledge, Previous Experience:
Bachelor?s degree or equivalentexperience; and At least two years of relevant work experience(including internships and summer positions).
Skills, Abilities,Competencies:
Interest/experience in education, college success, and/orother social issues of interest to TPI clients; Strong computer skillsutilizing Microsoft Office products including Access, Word, PowerPoint,Outlook and Excel, as well as Internet research and database management;Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, organize and manageprojects with multiple components, and implement complex activities;Able to take initiative and be resourceful; problem-solver; Resourceful,motivated and able to work independently; Excellent organizational andplanning skills; Very strong attention to detail; Strong research,writing, proofreading and basic editing skills; Excellent written andoral communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills; able to interactwell with a diverse range of people and work as part of a team; Able towork under the pressure of tight deadlines; and Able to be flexible.
