The Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Managing Director is aleadership role overseeing all aspects of TAS Centers of Excellenceto support the overall delivery of the national TAS strategy. TheTAS Managing Director will lead new business origination effortsand support multiple client engagement teams while maintaining keyclient relationships. A qualified candidate should have excellentleadership and technical skills, be results oriented, and have atenacious work ethic.

Job Duties:

Oversees all functions of TASCenter of Excellence Leads new business origination effortsCoordinates cross selling opportunities across BDO service linesOversees client engagement teams to ensure effective and efficientdelivery of quality services Leads complex deal related issues andprovides appropriate insight into deal specific matters, includingbut not limited to quality of earnings adjustments,pro-forma/normalization calculations, working capital analysis anddefinition, debt and debt-like analysis, warranties & indemnities,sale and purchase agreement review Oversees the full spectrum oftransaction advisory work in multiple engagements includingbuy-side and sell-side mandates Enforces standards forquality/consistency and brings sophistication to client engagementsCoaches and mentors staff in key areas, including detailed duediligence, critical decision making, report writing, and projectmanagement Ensures client expectations are met, maintains clientrelationships and identifies and resolves client issues /concernsLeverages BDO’s firm wide capabilities beyond TAS during clientengagements Assists in identifying risks and issues related to thetransaction and effectively communicates to clients Oversees thedevelopment of proposal documents and conducts presentations inpursuit of acquiring new clients Partners with management membersof BDO offices to identify and promote the services of theTransaction Advisory Services practice to existing and perspectiveclients Provides verbal and written performance feedback to TASteam members throughout the fiscal year and as part of the annualperformance review process Other duties as required

Qualifications,Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent requiredMBA desirable

Experience:

At least ten (10) years of priorfinancial statement related professional services experience, ofwhich at least five (5) years has been spent in a dedicated TASenvironment, to include complex national and multi-national buy andsell side transactions Carve-out experience desirable Priorexperience interacting and working directly with C-level personnel,preferred Big 4 or other top tier consulting firm experience,preferred

License/Certifications:

CPA, preferred

Demonstrated practice leadership anddevelopment skills Excellent project management and communicationskills, as well as a sense of urgency and drive to help the companyservice its clients Demonstrated ability to lead engagements,support/supervise staff and respond to client needs Solid knowledgeof technical accounting areas such as US GAAP Exhibit an executivepresence and strong business acumen Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills, specifically business writing aptitude Provenability to initiate and maintain solid relationships with alllevels of client personnel, as well as utilizing network andindustry relationships to identify business developmentopportunities Ability to travel up to 50% Individual salaries thatare offered to a candidate are determined after consideration ofnumerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’squalifications, experience, skills, and geography.
