We value your passion for patient care and teamwork. The PFS Billing Resource assists with the backup of Cash Posting and Financial Counselor functions. Ensures Cash spread sheets and reconciliation to General Ledger (GL) is complete and up to date. Is responsible for set up and maintaining of electronic funds transfer (EFT) and electronic remittance advice (ERA) for hospital and physician services. Responsible for providing documentation for interim and yearly Financial Audit. Maintains hospital system electronic posting master tables. Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Provides back up support to Financial Counselor to include processing daily statements to third party vendor. Processing Good Faith Estimates (GFE’s) and pricing estimates. Ensures all posting, indexing and scanning is completed on a daily basis. Acts as backup for Cash Posting and PSI staff as needed. Setup and maintaining electronic funds transfer (EFT) paperwork and files as needed. Responsible for setup and maintaining electronic remittance advice (ERA) paperwork and files as needed Balances end of day Cash Control Log daily Processes credit card refunds as needed Process Inpatient Room Error List Report on a daily basis Assists Accounting staff with contract billing Processes daily files for third party vendor for statement processing. Processes and transmits bad debt files on a weekly basis. Contact liaison for bad debt company requests Is responsible for ensuring Medicare bad debt files are uploaded for billers Is responsible to pull all documentation for interim and yearly Financial Audit. Works closely with Finance staff. Research missing payments or mis-posted monies to reconcile patient accounts.
