FUNCTION

The Wealth Management Associate is responsible for developing and expanding BWM’s internal and external business partner relationships, managing the department’s ReferralTrack program, supporting the creation and management of business development related initiatives, and providing support to Portfolio Management, Relationship Support and Trust Support as needed. Works well independently or within the team on special or ongoing projects exercising discretion and independent judgment, when needed, to successfully perform duties assigned. During periods of high workload, works with the Support Teams of BWM to assist in day to day processes, cross training, and procedure review to ensure efficient and effective coordination of resources.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Supports entire BWM on all team efforts, as needed, to include systems oriented reports, data and systems functionality. Identifies areas of opportunity and leads various task/projects in accordance with requirements defined by BWM leadership. Makes recommendations on systems and/or process enhancement, as necessary, to increase efficiency, reduce expense, and improve overall customer experience. Manages the WMG ReferralTrack program, including analysis of referrals and gathering background to determine optimal WMG resource allocation, responding in accordance to the WMG “sundown policy”, keeping Relationship Managers accountable for their activity, and providing feedback and ongoing updates to the referrer. Runs the WMG ReferralTrack payout incentive program by tracking referral activity, verifying new business, and issuing payouts for successful sales. Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external business partners to create a partnership that will increase referral activities. Acts as a resource/connectivity point for all business partners by servicing phone calls, messages, emails, and other inquiries in regards to existing referrals, prospective referrals, and education on what are appropriate referrals to WMG. Participates in the prospecting efforts for clients through internal and external relationship building, internal networking events and assists business partners by representing WMG at these events. Promotes good customer service relations and identifies opportunities to refer customers and/or potential customers to other units of the bank to provide cross-sell opportunities that meet the bank and customer needs. Assists with the development and implementation of projects that will benefit the WMG group with a focus on generating new business and prospects. Responsible for reporting the pipeline and new business activity for the WMG Relationship Managers and keeping them engaged in the process.
