RoleOverview:

The Nautilus Group is a service organization thatsupports over 200 of New York Life’s top producers. The idealcandidate will have, at a minimum, five to ten years of experiencein the areas of estate planning, business planning, charitableplanning, asset protection planning, and income tax planning.

WhatYou’ll Do:

Member Agent Support – Develop relationships with memberagents. Work closely with member agents to develop estate andbusiness strategies for high net worth and ultra-high net worthclients and integrate New York Life products, where applicable.

Help member agents target specific markets, including high networth, business, and cultural markets. Provide ongoing education tomember agents. Some travel may be required to assist member agentswith client meetings. Estate and Business Planning Case Design -Create customized and sales focused estate planning cases thatspecifically address a client’s planning needs. Assist othermembers of the Case Development Team as they develop estate andbusiness planning cases to ensure that all team members areproviding the highest level of technical support. Utilize New YorkLife products to illustrate benefits of various non-qualifiedretirement planning strategies. Meeting Presentations – Present onthe technical aspects of estate and business planning duringvarious company and/or industry meetings as well as member agentseminars. Create ongoing Webinars to highlight company initiativesand to keep member agents updated on tax law. Special Projects -Assist with content development by creating new educational piecesfor member agents (white papers, agent newsletters, websitecontent, industry articles, etc.); Take a leadership role inimplementing new initiatives (opportunities resulting from changinglaws, integration of new company products, content developmentaround core offerings, etc.); and Monthly training of Nautilusstaff members.

What You’ll Bring:

Minimum of 5 – 10 years’experience working in the advanced market. Possess a detailedunderstanding of estate and gift transfer tax planning, businessplanning, qualified and nonqualified retirement planning,charitable planning, and income tax planning. Juris Doctorrequired. CPA or LLM preferred. Experience presenting complicatedadvanced planning techniques to other advisors and to clients andshould have experience engaging parties to implement suggestedstrategies. Detailed knowledge of life insurance products, lifeinsurance taxation, life insurance funding (e.g., split dollar,premium financing) and how to utilize life insurance for ahigh-net-worth individual’s business and estate planning needs.

Requires detailed knowledge of annuity products, annuity taxation,and how to utilize annuities for a high-net-worth individual’sretirement and estate planning needs. Experience integratingfinancial planning concepts and estate and business planningstrategies to develop a comprehensive plan for high-net-worthclients and business owners. Ability to utilize excel to createfinancial models to illustrate various planning strategies. Abilityto serve as a technical expert in the Case Development team andshould be a high performer in terms of productivity and memberagent relations. Ability to work independently with little to notechnical guidance from management or other members of the CaseDevelopment team.

Pay Transparency Salary Range:

$107,500 -$182,500 Overtime eligible: Exempt Discretionary bonus eligible:

Yes Sales bonus eligible: No Actual base salary will be determinedbased on several factors but not limited to individual’sexperience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally,employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Inaddition to base salary, employees may also be eligible toparticipate in an incentive program.
