Job DescriptionThe FinancialConsultant analyzes and communicates financial results for keyproducts, markets and initiatives, develops compelling story linesto help deepen client insights and recommends creative actions toguide strategy and operations. This role formulates financialprojections to support in predicting and tracking performance anddiagnosing potential issues.
Key Responsibilities Own the externally reported Claims (excluding Catastrophes)expense ratio, isolating variances, performing forecasts, andstorytelling main themes Partner with other finance teams, particularly Canada andNational General, to understand the overall Claims expense ratio,finding efficiencies and opportunities across organizations Partner with Accounting and Reserving, to forecast & plan howboth GAAP Accounting and claims reserves influence future expenses,respectively. Work on key initiatives, potentially including, but not limitedto, customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value, andexpenses by channel Provide accurate, timely reports with financial insight toallow business partners to improve performance Use analysis to influence and drive action within finance,leadership and our business partners by using fact-based, holisticand forward-looking perspectives to identify emerging issues andcurrent trends, and assist in implementation of strategies Prepare and help build storyline for financial updates Isolate key drivers, quantify impacts, and forecastimplications to the business recognizing how different data pointsfit together Drive conversations with leadership to understand businessimplications of current trends Develop and lead effective presentations for smallgroupsEducation
