Job Summary
Provides guidance to patient and their family regarding their billing account and posts and balances payments paid at facility. Completes transactions, receives and disburses case, and processes credit or debit card transactions using electronic scanners and cash registers.
Reports to: Director of Business Office

FLSA:

Non-exempt
Essential Functions
Receives payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
Provides customer service by greeting customers, providing information, counseling patients regarding billing issues, and resolving complaints.
Establishes or identifies prices of goods and tabulates bills using calculators, cash registers, or price scanners.
Posts and balances patient payments received. Makes bank deposits.
Nonessential Functions

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.
• Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS.
• Works scheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary.
• Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.
  Organizational Expectations
• Compliance to the STRH – Lawrenceburg Standards of Performance is required.
• Compliance to Dress Code Standards
