Job Summary:
Disney Cruise Line (DCL) currently operates six ships and is planned to grow significantly over the next several years. As the Senior Manager, Pricing and Revenue Strategy this individual will be responsible for working closely with the Deployment Planning team to analyze scenarios and maximize yields on various DCL deployment. The Manager will also be responsible for telling the LTP, AOP and Forecast DCL ticket revenue story and partnering with the Ship Revenue Management team to meet the changing needs of DCL in a high-growth environment. In addition, they will lead a group of Cast Members focused on balancing staterooms needed to support operations and DCL’s broader revenue goals.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy will report to the Executive Director of DCL Pricing & Revenue Management and will have a wide array of responsibilities.
- Develop a revenue point of view for ship deployment strategies given historical demand, cruise length, length of season, market, technical marine requirements, and competition
- Co-lead revenue planning efforts around LTP and AOP with the broader RM team given insights on deployment
- Partner with the Ship Revenue Management team on key strategic analyses
- Cultivate strong working relationship with key partners (i.e., Deployment Planning, Marketing, CIMA, Finance) through exceptional communication skills, including the ability to ask questions to gain understanding and influence situations to achieve optimal solutions
- Provide direction to the Manager and Analysts making shipboard inventory decisions to support DCL Operations (vendors, shoreside cast, crew)
- Positively lead, motivate and inspire a growing team through a period of unprecedented change
Basic Qualifications:
- Outstanding presentation and storytelling skills with proven ability to create engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations
- Self-directed and proactive, constantly anticipating business needs and engaging key stakeholders
- An inclusive and influential leader who can provide a vision and coach a strong team towards continuous improvement
- Proven ability to foster a culture of innovation and change, recognizing and encouraging the need to continually evolve processes as the fleet grows to 13 ships
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in fields such as Commercial Strategy, Forecasting & Planning, Pricing, Revenue Management, or Finance
- Previous experience within the cruise or hospitality industry
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or other quantitative field
Preferred Education:
- MBA or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field
