National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst for our Revenue Requirements Department in Waltham, MA. This is a Hybrid role, 2 to 3 days in office. Job Purpose To provide support to management in preparing revenue requirements analysis as well as supportingpricing activities. Key Accountabilities Provide support to management in preparing electric and gas distribution revenue requirements, analysis related tasks.
Prepare utility rate case filings and cost recovery reconciliation filings to regulators in Massachusetts involving certain capital investments, operating costs, and retirement plan costs.
Develop and enhance new revenue requirements models for rate filings. Prepare financial analysis and elements of rate case filings including rate base,depreciation expense, property tax expense, insurance expense, pension and other retiree expense, Integrated Facilities Agreement, and Energy Efficiency.
Analyze and interpret data in accounting and financial reports in support of testimony of Company’s expert witness in various regulatory proceedings. Prepare responses to information and data requests from regulators. Prepare periodic regulatory earnings calculations, regulatory compliance reports, and any other reporting or ad hoc analysis as required.
Interact with regulators and Company management and keep abreast with the latest regulatory requirements and developments in rate making principles and procedures.
Implement various elements of Performance Excellence program to enhance efficiency and productivity of the Revenue Requirements Department. Perform research on technical accounting matters relevant to cost recovery filings and other utility filings.
Maintain quality control for filings and responses.
Ability to work with SAP, Access, Excel, PowerPlan, BI/HANA Reports and Word. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or related field – required An advanced degree is preferable
3-5+ years of related experience in utility rates, gas or electric supply, forecasting, finance,or accounting
Experience preferred with SAP, Access, Excel, PowerPlan, BI/HANA Reports and Word.
