See Yourself as a Pricing Analyst IIThe Price Analyst II is responsible for analysis of Credit/Mortgage Insurance Pricing, Portfolio Risk Attribution, and ad hoc financial and quantitative analysis. In addition, this role will be responsible for the development of new pricing and return models analysis based on market trends and developments, and price exception monitoring. Under minimal supervision the Pricing Analyst II will be a member of the Pricing and Valuation team within the Risk Management Group.
Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance pricing analytics utilizing SAS, Python, Excel, and Tableau related to projected portfolio returns, and risk concentration. Present findings to Senior Leadership team on a regular basis to influence pricing decisions.
Perform ad hoc analysis related to mortgage insurance pricing and competitive analysis.
Competitive Position Analytics:
Perform analysis to adjust pricing as needed to maintain desired market shareCollecting and maintaining MI pricing intelligence thru the development of databases. Assist in the research and implementation of market data and variables to enhance pricing and financial forecasts.
Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.
QualificationsBasic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent ExperienceWork Experience:
2 or more years of prior work-related experience
Additional Qualifications:
2-4 years analytical experience within the mortgage banking, Reinsurance, or financial services industry preferred.
Knowledge of Python, SQL, SAS, VBA and/or a similar programming languageExperience with AWS and BI Tools such as Tableau or Power BIGeneral understanding of pricing/valuation/ROC concepts and methodsAttention to detail as demonstrated by effective time-management, good organizational skills and use of analytical thinking to solve problems.
Strong aptitude for analytics; demonstrated ability to draw value-added insights from large amounts of financial dataExcellent oral and written communication skills and show a demonstrated ability to absorb information quickly.
Strong critical thinkingHighly proficient in Microsoft ExcelAbility to be a self-motivator and work independently, as well as work effectively with others.
Intellectually curious- is willing to question traditional ways of doing things and develop new approaches to old challengesHigh level of interest in learning and utilizing advanced analytical and statistical methodsDemonstrated track record of success and increasing knowledge base

anticipatedbase salary from $64,000 to $104,000 based on skills and experience. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
