Approximately 70% of this position involves managing, analyzing, and executing rebate-related tasks. The role also includes overseeing vendor relationships with a focus on invoice cost auditing, processing cost changes, ensuring margin protection, and assisting with promotional execution planning in the Pricebook system. The ideal candidate is proficient in PDI, highly detail-oriented, analytical, accountable, and comfortable handling both routine and complex tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Pricebook and Marketing Systems, while working closely with the Rebate Manager and Pricebook Manager. Primary Responsibilities Serve as Assistant to the Rebate Manager; under their direction, help with monthly processes of rebate management, billing, maintenance, and reporting. Serve as the backup to the Rebate Manager, learning the role fully. Utilize PDI Enterprise Retail Software daily for various tasks. Oversee and manage vendor relationships, focusing on invoice cost auditing and maintenance. Collect and process all cost changes from vendors (normal and promotional). Follow up with vendors on cost discrepancies, assist accounting with escalations, and escalate to Category Managers as necessary. Manage invoice cost discrepancies through auditing (system reporting, manual checks), promotional cost tracking, and timely vendor escalation. Assist with and become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of promotional execution and planning for the Pricebook area within PDI. Review promotional planning guides for accuracy and address issues with Category Managers. Work closely with Category Managers to address errors and improve accuracy for promotional execution and cost management. Handle repetitive and detail-heavy tasks efficiently and consistently. Assist with other department needs as requested by the Senior Manager, Pricebook and Marketing Systems. Maintain confidentiality of all company, client, employee, and vendor information. Perform other duties as assigned and react productively to change. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of prior experience using PDI Enterprise Retail Software. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Intermediate Excel skills; comfortable navigating complex spreadsheets. Previous experience in a retail environment. Ability to work well with others and adapt to conflicting priorities. Ability to be self-accountable, meet deadlines, and admit mistakes to mitigate operational impact. Dependable, process-driven, and comfortable with routine tasks and changing priorities. Comfortable with primarily office-based work. Valid State issued Driver’s License. 18+ years of age. Preferred Qualifications Prior Rebate Management Experience. Prior C-Store Industry Experience. Adaptability and willingness to contribute to process creation (SOPs are developing).
