Summary:
Tri Star Energy is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Supply & Pricing Systems Manager to join our innovative Supply & Logistics team in our Store Support Center in Nashville TN . The Supply & Pricing Systems Manager is responsible for maintaining Wholesale fuel pricing and logistical systems, ensuring the effective workflow of generating customer pricing, importing fuel costs, and reconciling supplier/customer discrepancies. This role is focused on ensuring margin optimization is achieved through effective management of the fuel supply workflow. The role also supports the Supply and Logistics team in the coordination of daily business activities including common carrier coordination, supply sourcing, and allocation management. Analyzes PDI fuel pricing issues and recommends opportunities for improvement through new/improved work processes and/or additional training. Ensure customer needs are met by delivering accurate and timely fuel pricing while monitoring activity to ensure expected margins are achieved. Develops and monitors daily and regularly recurring fuel pricing jobs, including, but not limited to reports, file transfer, nightly processing. Uses business process knowledge to understand and gather customer requirements as input to application design and software enhancements. Participates in the analysis and development of new fuel and logistical system technologies and reporting. Identify and research anomalies in data including margin exceptions and volume trends. Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to correct the data. Actively supports Wholesale business segment including actively managing allocations, monitoring daily allocations, anticipating volume needs, and keeping internal and external business partners informed of product availability. Ensures customer loading issues are handled quickly. Coordinates government and large customer fuel bid processes. Assists as needed in evaluating potential new markets including market demand for different customer segments, customer make-up, potential supply points and partners. Generates pricing analysis to evaluate potential supply contracts using historical data. Becomes a subject matter expert on the various commodities and pricing reporting agencies. Monitors existing contract prices and trend them over time versus applicable market indexes. Manages the set-up of new fuel supply agreements. Works with the supplier to provide necessary set-up information. Ensures pricing for new agreements is accurate and flowing into DTN and PDI. Coordinates the set-ups in Telepoint, PDI, and DTN.
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, marketing, business administration, or a related field. 5+ years of prior experience in a supply, fuel, or logistics role. Or, any equivalent combination of education and experience in job-related activities
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Wholesale Fuel experience. Prior experience with PDI (ERP) as well as Telepoint and DTN.
