Position Overview:

As the Director of Pricing, you will be responsible for overseeing and refining the pricing strategy across our freight brokerage business. You will leverage advanced analytical techniques, market intelligence, and industry data to drive dynamic pricing models and ensure competitive positioning. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, experience with data modeling, and a deep understanding of pricing strategies in a logistics or freight environment. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership, operations, and sales teams to align pricing structures with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Optimize Pricing Models:

Lead the creation and optimization of pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness in the marketplace while maximizing profit margins.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

Utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to assess market trends, cost factors, and customer behaviors to make informed pricing decisions.

Collaborate Across Teams:

Work closely with sales, operations, and leadership teams to align pricing strategies with business goals and operational capabilities.

Market Analysis:

Continuously analyze market conditions, competitor pricing, and industry trends to adjust pricing strategies accordingly.

Pricing Automation and Tools:

Oversee the implementation of pricing tools, software, and automation to streamline the pricing process and improve efficiency.

Performance Metrics:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of pricing strategies and ensure that revenue and margin targets are met.

Customer and Vendor Relationship Management:

Ensure that pricing decisions align with customer needs while maintaining strong vendor and carrier relationships.

Team Leadership and Development:

Manage and mentor a team of pricing analysts and support staff, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.

Experience:

7+ years of experience in pricing, analytics, or financial modeling, preferably in freight brokerage, logistics, or supply chain management.

Skills:

Strong proficiency with data analysis tools and software (Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.). Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights. Expertise in pricing strategy, margin analysis, and cost optimization. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) or similar platforms is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
