Job Overview The Property Specialist is responsible for control and accountability of all required documentation for government equipment utilized on site per government and management restrictions.

Work Model:
Onsite Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions:

Oversees property requirements and processes to identify issues and possible courses of action.
Develops alternative solutions for improved processes.
Manages the daily operation and required administration of the warehouse, to ensure conformance with hours of operation, appropriate, appearance, security, and safety of warehouse and property storage area.
Recommends new and revised policies and procedures appropriate to improve property management; implements those policies and procedures approved by management.
Performs annual inventory of all trackable government property in the warehouse. Prepares report of discrepancies with explanations.
Coordinates and controls property movement on site (transfers). Maintains property files (transfers and acquisitions).
Ensures all property data is input into electronic property management systems in a timely manner.
Disposes of government property in accordance with all applicable government and management directives.
Remains current on property policies, regulations and laws such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 45 and 52.245, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and consensus standards pertaining to property.
Develops schedule for audits of property accounts to assess level of compliance with applicable requirements; identifies deficiencies.
Develops audit reports to document audit performance and reports results to the Logistics Manager.
Resolves customer service and field complaints originated by customers and internal organizations.
Administers property documents, files, correspondence, reports and other appropriate documents relating to assignments in the contractor Management Information Database.
Maintains familiarity with Air Force Equipment Management systems and reports to include AFEMS and CA/CRLs to include USAF Block III training.
Maintains familiarity with DoD IUID property marking requirements and performs field maintenance on Management Information System.
Provides training and certification to all employees on proper use and management of equipment and property in their care.
Oversees and directs all actions related to management program at up range and downrange locations.
Maintains Barcoded and IUID property tags on existing and newly acquired property in the contractor Management Information System. Produce reports for metric reporting to senior management.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements Mandatory:

Minimum of two years’ experience in real property. Experience should include assistance in research of legal documents, investigating facts, or assisting in preparing legal documents.
Experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or equivalent agency regulations and supplements.
Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level.
Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
