- Job description: Block & Associates Realty is looking for a full-time property assessor who will ensure the good condition and functionality of the premises.
This person will complete thorough inspections and assess the condition of our properties. This person will be meticulous and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and documenting the condition of Block and Associates’ properties. Your primary goal will be to conduct thorough assessments, ensuring accurate and fair property reporting for Property managers, Agents, and Owners. Responsibilities

Property Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residential properties to determine the conditions and status of properties.
- Utilize various methods, including on-site inspections and analysis of all areas, exterior and interior of the properties.
- Evaluate and review maintenance items, including life and safety, and cosmetic or marketing issues

Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports documenting property conditions using the approved software and technology.
- Communicating with the Assessment Coordinator and Property Manager regarding emergency issues observed at properties.

Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including property management and real estate agents, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Effectively communicate with tenants through the process of scheduling, assessments, and follow-up.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of household maintenance
- Strong knowledge of household mechanical systems
- Proficient in property valuation techniques and appraisal software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
