Job Description:
At Regions, the Credit Risk Analyst provides the financial, quantitative, and statistical analysis necessary to properly manage Regions credit risk. This position establishes the strong foundation of credit risk management. The individual will work within Regions risk framework to identify, measure, mitigate, monitor and report on consumer credit portfolios. Primary Responsibilities Conducts moderately complex identification, measurement, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting tasks Develops periodic reports regarding company risk profile Analyzes and comments on market and portfolio Participates in the implementation of risk valuation models Evaluates, synthesizes, organizes, and interprets data and information Questions, examines, compares, and confirms results Develops and presents recommendations in Microsoft PowerPoint Highlights key changes in portfolios and potential causes Demonstrates effective application of policies and methodologies Manages multiple projects/priorities Remains well informed of regulatory and industry practices Builds on advance knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field Three (3) years directly related experience in consumer credit regulatory and compliance, underwriting or loan origination Preferences Big Data analysis experience Quantitative skills Skills and Competencies Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts Ability to work in a team environment when applicable Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Basic knowledge of Consumer credit products, appropriate banking laws, regulatory, compliance, underwriting, loan origination and servicing systems Developed relationship-building skills Good analytical and problem-solving skills including attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Strong technical skills, programming, and utilization of analytical tools Strong oral, written and organizational skills Understanding and utilization of statistical concepts Position Type Full time Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job. The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
