JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Analyst to join our team. This individual will assist in shaping risk strategy, developing policies and mitigating operational risk. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in evaluating vendor risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening risk governance frameworks. This role does not have direct reports but requires a strong ability to collaborate and engage across departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure alignment between strategic objectives and operational risk management. Refine operational risk strategies, policies, and governance frameworks. Help oversee third-party/vendor risk management, conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations. Maintain a vendor risk register and report findings to leadership. Conduct audits of vendor operations. Partner with management to integrate risk considerations into business decision-making and process improvements. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to strengthen risk mitigation efforts and embed a proactive risk culture. Assist with drafting risk policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring they are effectively implemented across the organization. Participate in risk incident investigations and ensure actions are aligned with company objectives. Identify gaps and recommend process improvements to reduce compliance and vendor risk. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and procurement teams to evaluate vendor contracts and establish strong governance mechanisms. Stay up to date with regulatory changes and industry best practices in operational and third-party risk management. Educate employees on risk management best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Experience in vendor management, risk assessment, compliance, or cybersecurity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks Proficiency in vendor risk management software and reporting tools
