Position Summary:
We are seeking a Chargeback & Risk Analyst to support and manage the dispute and chargeback process, analyze trends in merchant processing behavior, and proactively reduce financial risk to the organization. This is a highly investigative role with cross-functional coordination, customer communication, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor daily chargeback activity and respond within required deadlines Research and compile compelling evidence for representments Communicate with merchants regarding disputes and resolution strategies Identify patterns of risky merchant behavior or fraud indicators Collaborate with internal teams to flag high-risk accounts or suspicious activity Maintain accurate documentation of all chargeback and risk cases Recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in chargeback handling, risk analysis, or merchant services Understanding of Visa, Mastercard, and other card network rules a strong plus Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication Comfortable working with sensitive data and maintaining confidentiality Organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through
Preferred:
Experience in the payment processing industry or with platforms like TSYS, First Data, or Paysafe Familiarity with chargeback management tools Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
