Job Description

Duties:

Lead the development and implementation of complex credit risk analytics and reporting capabilities to provide portfolio insights to senior leaders supporting wholesale and consumer credit portfolio risk management, (20% of time). Develop and compile reports to meet both scheduled and urgent requests from regulators, ensuring compliance with all reporting standards, (20% of time). Identify opportunities for credit risk data enhancements and lead initiatives to streamline and optimize the reporting process, (20% of time). Synthesize presentation materials on complex credit metrics and data to facilitate clear communication of relevant credit risk implications, (10% of time). Assess portfolio, analyze market trends, and deliver data-driven insights to inform Bank’s annual risk appetite process and ongoing refinement of risk appetite measures, limits or indicators, (10% of time). Serve as Credit Risk Data Steward, assisting with development and implementation of Bank’s Data Governance program and control framework, (15% of time). Lead and mentor junior members of the team, (5% of time).

Requirements:

Master’s degree in Finance, Financial Risk Management or Mathematics in Finance plus 2 years of experience in the position offered or a portfolio analyst position in a bank or financial institution. •All required experience must have included: conducting in-depth analysis of credit portfolio data to identify trends, patterns and potential risks using analytical techniques (descriptive analysis, diagnostic analysis and statistical analysis) and tools including Oracle SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Excel Macros, MS Office Suite and Tableau; executing comprehensive risk remediation plans in response to regulatory findings, ensuring alignment with internal risk and compliance standards; assessing credit portfolio developments, supporting enhancements to credit portfolio management process, and analyzing alignment with bank risk appetite framework; performing data management, including data gathering, cleansing and organization to ensure data accuracy and integrity; synthesizing complex analyses and findings into written and visual presentations for diverse stakeholders (technical and nontechnical); and implementing data governance policies and end-user computing (EUC) risk management strategies to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with credit portfolio activities.

This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our White Plains, NY office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.

Salary range: $107,765/year to $135,000/year.
