The RCSA Analyst position is a key role in the Bank’s second line of defense, focused on the continuous development and maintenance of risks, controls, and procedures across the organization. This position will assist the RCSA Manager in the identification of risks inherent in the operations of the Bank’s various divisions, and to work with the applicable first line personnel to ensure that risk assessments are effectively executed, documented, and monitored, while contributing to the overall risk mitigation strategy of the bank.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist with the transition of the organization’s operational internal control framework into a Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the RCSA framework across the organization.
Collaborate with business units to identify and assess risks in operational processes and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
Facilitate the RCSA process, working with key stakeholders to assess inherent and residual risks and ensure control effectiveness.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for business functions and operations, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Analyze risk data to identify patterns, trends, and areas requiring attention.
Assist in the development and maintenance of key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics.
Prepare and present detailed risk assessment reports for senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Ensure proper documentation and tracking of risk issues, control failures, and mitigation plans.
Ensure compliance with all internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to risk management and the RCSA process.
Collaborate with risk owners to design and implement control improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
Track and monitor the status of mitigation actions and their effectiveness over time.
Advise on risk-based decision-making, offering expert risk management insights to business units.
Provide guidance and training to business units on the RCSA process, risk identification, and control activities.
Foster a risk-aware culture across the organization by providing support and education on risk management best practices.
Identify opportunities for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the RCSA process.
Stay informed of emerging risk trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management.
Continuously improve the methodology for risk assessments and control self-assessments.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar discipline.
Three or more years of experience in RCSA, Risk Management, or internal and/or external auditing.
Relevant certification preferred. (e.g., CIA, CPA, CMA, CERP, etc.)
Banking industry experience preferred.
System & Organization Controls (“SOC”) report knowledge/experience preferred.
Skilled in use of MS Office suite, and ability to easily adapt to and utilize new technologies.
Experience with GRC platforms.
