MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree from an accredited institution with certification in education administration or equivalent credential A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience A minimum of two (2) years of successful administrative experience preferred Knowledge of school law, regulations, statutes, rules, and policies affecting education and the school system Knowledge of behavior intervention and restorative practices Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication Knowledge of curriculum development, educational technology, staff development principles, and an ability to integrate knowledge into best practices to support teaching and learning Ability to motivate, delegate, evaluate, and supervise others effectively Such alternatives to the above qualifications as state, federal, and local law and the Board may require
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision, mission, goals, and priorities Fosters a safe, inclusive, supportive school climate that promotes student success and staff collaboration Promotes a trauma-informed and restorative approach to student discipline and engagement Supports the development and implementation of individualized learning plans Builds positive relationships with students, families, and community partners Supervises and evaluates instructional staff, ensuring high-quality teaching and adherence to academic standards. Collaborates with teachers to support differentiated instruction, credit recovery, and vocational pathways Oversees the district’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Oversees district’s safety and crisis management planning Oversees the Student Educational Initiative Assists in the review of the district’s student code of conduct Oversees curriculum planning, scheduling, and innovative program development Manages day-to-day campus operations, including facilities, safety protocols, and budgeting Ensures compliance with district, state, and federal regulations, including special education and student services Facilitates partnerships with social service agencies and post-secondary institutions. Collects, analyzes, and utilizes data to drive school improvement efforts Coordinates support services, including counseling, mental health resources, and intervention plans Leads efforts around student retention, attendance, and graduation tracking Maintains confidentiality regarding workplace matters in accordance with state and federal law Adheres to local Board policies, administrative procedures, and other like directives, as well as state, federal, and local laws Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor(s) This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position.
