Responsibilities:

The Senior Risk Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact MDIOC and/or IRES operations.

The candidate will:

Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, including risk avoidance, transfer, reduction, and acceptance. Monitor the effectiveness of risk management controls and procedures and report on risk exposures and trends to senior management. Advise senior leadership and government customers on risk exposures and strategic risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate risk management information and build consensus on risk mitigation strategies across IRES. Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations. Prepare and present risk reports to executive leadership and government customers. Lead risk incident investigations and root cause analyses. Oversee and manage the performance of risk management staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback. Participate in program meetings to become familiar with program details, including terminology, points of view, operating constraints, issues and goals Facilitating MDIOC Joint

Basic Requirements:

Must be a US Citizen. Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or above. Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. 15+ years of experience in risk management. Professional certifications are highly desirable. Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000). Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive risk-informed decision-making.
