This role ensures compliance with all applicable safety regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and works to minimize risk and prevent workplace injuries or illnesses. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments across all work sites and departments. Develop and deliver safety training to employees, including onboarding and ongoing refresher courses. Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and accidents; complete reports and recommend corrective actions. Monitor safety performance and metrics; maintain accurate safety records and documentation. Assist in emergency preparedness planning, including evacuation procedures, drills, and first aid readiness. Ensure company compliance with OSHA, local regulatory agencies, and industry best practices. Collaborate with management and employees to foster a proactive safety culture. Support implementation of environmental health and sustainability initiatives where applicable. It is an active position, which requires moving around the airport (offices, gates, ramp, catering facility, etc.). This position is very active and requires standing, walking, seating and may be exposed to weather conditions, during audits or investigations. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Work hours vary. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, HR or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 2-5 years of relevant experience in a health and safety role. OSHA 30-Hour Certification required (or equivalent regional certification). Strong knowledge of local/state/federal safety laws and regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office and incident management software. Skills and Qualifications Bilingual (English & Spanish)
