Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Quality and Regulatory Management Administrative Specialist to oversee and manage compliance, regulatory processes, and quality management systems across multiple states. This role is critical to ensuring that our organization complies with local, state, and federal regulations while continuously improving quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of policy and procedure systems, risk management, accreditation standards, and experience in managing compliance for diverse populations, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern within healthcare operations. Develop and implement risk management strategies that align with organizational goals. Analyze data related to financial performance and operational risks to inform decision-making. Prepare detailed reports on risk findings and present recommendations to management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Monitor the effectiveness of risk management initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
Continuous Improvement :
Identify areas for quality improvement in services and client care, implementing evidence-based practices and fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Reporting and Documentation :
Maintain accurate records of quality metrics, incidents, and compliance reports for internal use and regulatory audits
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor and ensure adherence to laws and regulations specific to the healthcare and home health industry, including
HIPAA, ADA, CMS
guidelines, and other relevant standards. Develop and update policies and procedures as needed.
Risk Management:
Conduct compliance risk assessments and internal audits, identifying gaps and implementing mitigation strategies.
Investigation & Remediation:
Investigate potential compliance violations, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Collaborate with internal teams (legal, HR, operations) and external regulatory agencies or accreditation bodies. Provide regular compliance reports to senior management and maintain accurate records.
Data Privacy Oversight:
Ensure adherence to data privacy and protection policies, implementing best practices for data security.
Requirements Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration , Law, Business,Public Administration, International Relations, nursing or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
Certifications:
Certifications include Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), or equivalent is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, legal, or risk management, preferably in the home healthcare or healthcare industry. Preferred setting of previous experience — quality management, risk management, compliance Preferred certifications/credentials — Quality Management, Risk Management, CHC (Certified Healthcare Compliance), Project Management, Risk Management, Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), or similar are a plus. Skills Excellent verbal and written English. Strong knowledge of policy and procedure development and management. Ability to track and manage regulatory processes across multiple states . Familiarity with The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) accreditation standards. Expertise in risk management and project management . Comprehensive understanding of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) .
