Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Managing Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and leading multiple business units that drive analytics for the company. This position establishes vision and identifies strategic direction for the business units and support corporate goals and objectives. This role will provide analytic forecasting and bid support for our largest client, BCBSM and our Joint Ventures Plans (JVs) in multiple states. This will create a single point of contact for RA analytics reporting that supports Provider Engagement Coordination (PEC), Paper Gaps/Remote Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), Risk Mitigation Audits, Submissions and Medicare/Commercial Retrospective services for BCBSM. The Managing Director is accountable for the RA Analytic support provided to BCBSM and our JV partner plan for Medicare Advantage (MA) or government programs as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Oversees Directors, Actuarial and analytics support staff, and senior technical personnel. 2. Leads and directs the organization including MA and our JV Partner Plans by providing analytic expertise that drives revenue cycle capital planning decisions for the Chief Actuary, MA President and Executive team or any other Government Programs work as assigned. 3. Develop, enhance and maintain detailed actuary modeling to support NMAM bid, budget and forecasting cycles, KPI scorecard reporting, settlement and year-end accruals, and executive level reporting and dashboard. 4. Evaluates and provides performance reporting and insights on prospective, retrospective, and submission/encounter program impacts which drive operation improvements 5. Supports Actuarial, Finance, HCV, and other teams based on modeling request, RA performance insights for existing or new contract opportunities and ensures alignment and consistent messaging of revenue model results. 6. Creates, enhances and maintains provider reporting and analytics, including chronic condition persistency/recapture rates, suspecting, targeting, and PO level HCC capture improvement opportunities. 7. Provides risk adjustment education to external and internal stakeholders including the key accounts, Group, Meaningful Risk providers or as required. 8. Supports request from RA team that drive insights and improvement opportunities on RA initiatives, Premium Integrity programs, and encounter submission error resolution priority. 9. Directs the development of corporate standards. 10. Directs the review of tools and technologies for improving performance and reducing costs. 11. Works closely with Business Unit Support and with appropriate business areas to ensure that business needs are understood and that services provided meet those needs. 12. Provides vision, leadership, planning, project coordination, and management for the development of a cost-effective department, while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the organization. 13. Represents Company in community and industry, programs, and conferences. 14. Upon request, functions as the department head in the absence of the executive leader. 15. Participates in the development of programs as a strategic partner that supports the company plan. 16. Participates in development of annual departmental budget, monitors budget, and identifies budget discrepancies. Researches cause and makes recommendations. 17. Responsible for balancing workload to optimize the effectiveness of the department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Master’s degree in a related field preferred. 2. Ten (10) years of progressively more responsible experience in a Health Care environment with demonstrated technical experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. 3. Five (5) years management or supervisory in Health Care required. 4. Medicare Advantage revenue experience strongly preferred. 5. Experience with exposure to the Managed Care environment preferred.

1. Experience with Tableau. 2. Expertise in executing complex projects with the alignment of the clients. 3. Proven leadership in risk adjustment services, client engagement, operational processes and compliance. 4. Strong abstract and critical thinking and analytical skills, with a proven ability to develop and analyze complex issues. 5. A self-starter with an ability to address strategic issues and daily operational concerns. 6. Strong presentation, preparation, and delivery skills. 7. Team-oriented, able to build consensus, and interact effectively at numerous levels throughout this organization and its affiliates. 8. Has a “can-do” attitude with exceptionally strong problem-solving skills and the flexibility to work in a complex organizational structure. 9. Must demonstrate leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff and interact with all levels of management. 10. Ability to effectively exchange information, in verbal or written form. 11. Ability to effectively present budgetary and/or cost information and respond to questions as appropriate. 12. Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises a varied number of employees in the designated department(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

PAY RANGE
Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate’s skills and professional experience, geographic location, market, and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $191,300 and $320,300.
