Position Summary:
The Senior Director of Credit Insurance Risk Management will lead the development and oversight of the risk management framework for the Credit (Re)insurance business unit. This includes identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks related to portfolio performance. The role also serves as the Chief Risk Officer for a Bermuda-based business unit and reports directly to the enterprise Chief Risk Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement credit risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures. Develop quantitative measures and risk appetite thresholds for credit (re)insurance. Conduct risk assessments, scenario analyses, and stress testing. Monitor key risk indicators and report credit risk events. Collaborate with internal teams to develop mitigation strategies and forecasting plans. Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards and industry best practices. Lead and mentor a team of credit risk professionals. Present risk reports to senior leadership, board members, and regulators. Stay informed on industry trends and emerging risks.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, preferably in insurance or reinsurance and focus in building credit risk frameworks Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management best practices. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and communication abilities. Proficiency in risk management tools and software.
