Job Posting Title Head of Enterprise Risk Management ProgramsThe OpportunityAs the Head of Enterprise Risk Management Programs,you will be responsible for leading the development, theimplementation and the maintenance of key components of the

  • Framework and align with the Enterprise’s Governance,Risk and Compliance strategy.
  • -This is a critical and influentialrole within Enterprise Risk Management and across the 3 lines ofdefense model, reporting to the Head of Risk Strategy.
  • As part ofthe Risk Strategy team, you will also support and lead aspects ofthe ERM strategy planning process and working across ERM leadershipto ensure ERM’s True North and strategic pillars aligns with theMassMutual’s financial and strategic goals.

The TeamAs MassMutualnavigates evolving risks in our industry and in support ofMassMutual’s goals, our ERM operating model must continue toevolve. The Risk Strategy team collaborates with ERM leadership andkey stakeholders to evolve the Enterprise’s enterprise riskmanagement framework and provide the necessary context and analysisthat ensures we are best positioned to manage these risks. The teamwill do this through various ways, including technology platforms,assessments, risk stewardships, consolidation of information toprovide cohesive and comprehensive view of risks and themanagement, prioritization and coordination of ERM organizationactivities.

  • Yourresponsibilities will contribute to the achievement of the ERMorganization’s vision to effectively manage risks faced byMassMutual and its subsidiaries and enable the enterprise toachieve its mission and strategy through business partnership andrisk stewardship.

Enterprise Risk Management Framework Drive the evolution and continuous improvement of the RiskFramework to ensure it remains agile, scalable and commensurate toMassMutual risk profile. Facilitate the engagement with ERM seniorleadership team and other lines of defense to evolve the Frameworkand update governance documents accordingly. Partner with technology leaders to prioritize efforts inorganization’s GRC technology to align with evolution of the ERMFramework Lead initiatives to ensure robust risk culture througheducation and communication; develop training content related tothe Framework and related documentsStrategic Planning Contribute and help support elements of the ERM organization’sstrategic planning design and process. Support the connection, articulation and adoption of ERM’sstrategy, objectives and priorities in support of the enterprise’sstrategy Ensure connectedness of the ERM organization’s execution backto strategy and through communications Oversee the coordination with ERM leaders and Finance to manageERM’s budget and forecast process and understand the financialimpacts of the budget including: Forecasting, Invoice Management,Budget approval process, Cost Center Management, Annual budgetcompilation, and Budget reporting and communicationCulture,Engagement & Change Management Role model / champion the evolution of the ERM culture. Develop and strengthen internal communications with staff atall levels throughout the ERM organization. Create a cohesive communication plan and develop artifactsrelated to ERM priorities including Enterprise Risk Committee,Board materials, and other strategy team deliverables. Support coordination of ERM and PG&D division meetings,offsites and annual events

  • Minimum qualifications 8 years to 10+ years of related experience in insurance orfinancial services Demonstrated experience in developing risk framework andcollaborating with technology teams to implement functionality tomeet the framework requirements Experience with project or portfolio management and scorecards,metrics and dashboards.

Expert presentation and artifact creationThe IdealQualifications MBA or equivalent Experience in risk consulting Change management mindset Understanding of the financial regulatory environment for theinsurance industry Establish and maintain strong relationships with peers and keypartners throughout the organization. Comfortable working collaboratively across the organization ina complex, fast paced, dynamic and continually evolving businessenvironment. Understanding of how to manage and deploy large-scale, crossorganization programs and employ a creative approach to problemsolving, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically, enjoymanaging multiple projects simultaneously and handling difficultsituations. High degree of integrity and ability to maintainconfidentiality with business & organizational information. Able to garner support and gain momentum to bring new ideasthrough to implementation Demonstrated ability to understand how tasks and milestonescollaborate and connect across related department objectives. Prior track record in building partnerships with all levels ofthe organization Experience communicating and/or presenting to seniorleaders.
