Senior Risk Professional Position Available In New York, New York

Position Duties:

Promote the benefits and strategic vision associated with our risk management program. Support the maturation of the Enterprise Risk Function, as well as other domains within Risk Management (e.g. Risk Issue Management and Risk Events). Support the company’s adherence to regulatory requirements and expectations specifically about operational resilience and enterprise risk management. Understand industry standards or best practices with regards to operational resilience and enterprise risk management and work with relevant stakeholders to apply them to our internal controls environment. Responsible for the successful completion of a portfolio of highly visible risk and controls reviews and risk reduction activities. Identify and build Key Control Indicators to proactively monitor key controls. Build issue management and risk events reporting guidelines, dashboards and reports. This role requires technical expertise and understanding of risk management framework, processes, workflows to enable implementation and risk reporting. Step into the fast-paced day-to-day business environment and understand the objectives of the business and existing processes. Establish and maintain strong business relationships at all levels. Work on the application and evolution of Bloomberg best practices and risk management framework. Come up with innovative ways to enhance our systems and to make our data-related processes more efficient, accurate and timely.

Job Requirements:

Position requires a Master’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Financial Management, Information Systems, or related and three (3) years of risk management experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Financial Management, Information Systems, or related followed by five (5) years of progressively responsible risk management experience. Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills: Risk management frameworks, such as COSO; 1LoD and 2LoD capacity; GRC and BI tools; Information technology concepts and operations; Using analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues; Issue Management and Risk Event framework development; Developing workflows for the EGRC (Enterprise Governance Risk and Controls System) for technical risk management domains; Developing dashboards and analytics for risk exposures; Risk reporting on issues, events, exposures; Streamlining issue management recording through ongoing advisory engagement; Performing Risk analysis for issue management using risk scoring and assessment methodologies; and, Tracking of remediation timelines and actions for risk committee reporting.
