The Director of Quality and Risk Management position is a full time, salaried position and this role offers a wide variety of benefits with a competitive salary for someone interested in a leadership position.

Position Summary:

Oversees the Performance Improvement (PI) and Risk Management (RM) programs for Malvern Treatment Centers and/or Malvern Behavioral Health Philadelphia in all activities.

Summary of Essential Position Functions:

Leads the facility in all activities related to the Performance Improvement and Risk Management Programs. Completion of external questionnaires including regulatory, accreditation, and licensing. Directs all inspections and requests by licensing/accrediting and managed care agencies including preliminary internal preparation, on-site assistance to surveyors and assistance in the development of a plan of correction as needed. Monitors on-going compliance with licensing/accrediting standards through audits. Coordinates the response and analysis of patient complaints. Coordinates and updates changes made to the P&P manual. Oversees the investigation and reporting process following any incident or serious event. Oversees the Peer Review process. Maintains files and records as they relate to PI and RM. Provides regulatory and safety training as necessary. May be required to work during off shifts as needed.

Experience:

At least 3 years Healthcare experience/preferably in Quality and/or Risk Management. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience with the Acute Psychiatric Inpatient population preferred, experience working with child and/or adolescent populations preferred. Experience with The Joint Commission on Accreditation preferred.

Technical/Computer Skills:

Knowledge of MS Office. Proficient in Excel. Ability to plan and organize work and adequately to express ideas orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all staff, patients, outside agencies, families and general public.

Work Environment and Hazards:

No hazardous conditions. Weather protected.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work – lifting 20 lbs. and occasional lifting and/or carrying articles such as patient files. Involves sitting and a certain amount of walking and standing occasionally to carry out job functions. Communication is required. Talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing and perceiving the nature of sounds by ear is required.
