What you will do:
You will help protect SCDOR’s information and systems by supporting key activities in information security, privacy, risk management, and compliance.
Primary job duties include:
Assisting with preparing and maintaining security plans and compliance documentation Performing periodic reviews of privileged users, system accounts, and user access to ensure compliance with policies and reduce agency risk Preparing reports to document the status of user and system access for review by management Following up with managers and IT to ensure access and account information stays up to date Supporting compliance assessments and risk evaluations for SCDOR, vendors, and partners Helping track State and agency security requirements and identifying changes needed to internal policies and procedures Participating in privacy-related activities, including data classification and privacy documentation Contributing to documentation efforts to meet SCDOR and State security standards on or ahead of schedule Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma and relevant work experience. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required work experience. Academic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning. Preferred Qualifications A high school diploma and five years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Knowledge of applicable internal and external regulatory policies, standards, procedures, and controls. Ability to understand information privacy laws, policies, procedures, and technology. Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships.

Hours :
Flexible hours may be available from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week). Telework schedule : This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week.
