Position Overview:
The purpose of this role is to provide vital administrative and secretarial support to the Insurance and Risk Management department. This position is responsible for handling a wide range of administrative tasks, including processing documentation, managing communications, and supporting the Chief of Insurance and Risk Management in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet visitors and handle incoming telephone calls, providing exceptional customer service. Process invoices, payroll documents, and other financial records accurately and promptly. Prepare, organize, and maintain various department documents and files. Coordinate meetings, manage the department calendar, and arrange logistics for team events. Conduct research, compile data, and produce reports to support decision-making. Maintain accurate records and perform data entry to ensure data integrity. Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets, forecasts, and statistical analyses. Support special projects and tasks as assigned by the Chief of Insurance and Risk Management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by three (3) years previous experience and/or training involving secretarial work, office administration, basic bookkeeping, customer service, record management, and training/experience in area of Insurance or Risk Management Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
