GENERAL FUNCTION
Provide primary and secondary market liquidity to assigned market sector to assist in achieving departmental fee income goals. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Trade fixed income securities in support of Institutional and Retail Sales representatives. + Provide revenue-generating ideas to sales representatives. + Process trades on clearing system. + Maintain working relationships with national and regional brokers and dealers. + Balance, reconcile and manage inventory positions maintained within department policy limits. + File appropriate regulatory reports on timely basis. + Provide product training to Institutional and Retail sales executives through formal training sessions and informal daily communication.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
+ Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7,63 license required +
Education:
Bachelors degree required- finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or related fields preferred +
Experience:
One to two years banking or securities industry experience preferred. + Broad knowledge of all fixed income classes, macroeconomics and products preferred + Broad knowledge of accounting concepts is preferred + Broad knowledge of all fixed income classes is a plus + Broad knowledge of Trading Environment is a plus + Expertise with Bloomberg LLP preferred + Expertise in Microsoft Excel is a plus + Attention to detail and high operational accuracy is needed + Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and communication skills. + Able to prioritize and multi task in a fast paced environment.
