About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Fixed Income Trader to join the Retail Trading department within Wealth and Investment Management (WIM). Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com . This trader is focused on WIM Fixed Income Trading Services provided to various WIM channels. In this role, you will: Interact with Advisors on fixed income product discovery, portfolio implementation, pending trade negotiations/status, and fixed income platform assistance Perform fixed income order reviews and execute Treasury auctions, Market Linked Investments and orders against external offerings Review and research trading situations, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables Assist more experienced traders with complex trade situations Receive direction from leaders while developing knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Participate in less complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Retail Fixed Income Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Successfully completed FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 or Series 7 and 66 (or FINRA recognized equivalents) FINRA registration including Series 52 (or FINRA recognized equivalents) Knowledge and understanding of debt instruments, market knowledge and bonds through coursework or investment clubs Knowledge and understanding of fixed income investment systems such as: Bloomberg Knowledge and understanding of bond securities and bond security structures Knowledge and understanding of finance, investment accounting, fixed income securities, bond math, and fixed income portfolio risk measures Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Demonstrated professional written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated relationship building and collaboration skills Analytical capabilities, attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important A BS/BA degree (or equivalent experience)

Job Expectations:

FINRA Series 7 and 63 or 7 and 66 examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
