Position Overview:

We are looking for dedicated and skilled Senior Tax Associates to become integral members of our dynamic tax practice across our Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach locations. You will be at the forefront of our tax engagements, responsible for sophisticated tax preparation and review, in-depth tax research, and collaborative problem-solving with our Partners, Managers, and diverse clientele. Key Responsibilities Oversee and execute the preparation and meticulous review of a variety of federal and multi-state tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Conduct thorough tax research and analysis on complex tax issues, providing insightful recommendations and developing effective strategies. Collaborate closely with firm leadership (Partners and Managers) and clients to address tax-related matters and contribute to strategic tax planning initiatives. Proactively manage engagement workflows and timelines, working directly with Partners on approximately half of your engagements and with Tax Managers on the remainder, ensuring seamless service delivery. Apply a comprehensive understanding of current tax laws, practices, and procedures to all assigned projects and client interactions. Exhibit strong interpersonal abilities and contribute to a positive team environment, with the potential to guide and mentor junior team members. Consult effectively with senior leadership to navigate and resolve challenging compliance, technical, and consulting issues. Commit to extended hours as needed during peak tax seasons to meet client needs and firm deadlines, demonstrating dedication and professionalism. Required Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution. A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience within a public accounting environment, focused on taxation. If not already a CPA, must be actively pursuing CPA licensure with demonstrated progress. High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Hands-on experience with professional tax software solutions such as CCH Axcess (or ProSystem fx) Tax, Engagement, and Fixed Asset systems. Solid experience and understanding of multi-state tax compliance and regulations. Proven ability to build and maintain strong, professional client relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with effective and efficient tax research capabilities. Keen analytical abilities, strong problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. In-depth, senior-level knowledge of tax laws and regulations pertaining to Partnerships (Form 1065), S Corporations (Form 1120S), and High Net Worth Individuals (Form 1040). A consistently positive outlook, a proactive work ethic, and a team-oriented approach are essential attributes for success in our firm. Preferred Qualifications A Master’s degree in Taxation (MST) or an LL.M. in Taxation. Previous experience in a Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm setting. Working familiarity with tax laws and compliance concerning Trusts (Form 1041), Gifts (Form 709), Estates (Form 706), and C Corporations (Form 1120). Demonstrated experience in identifying and assisting with the implementation of value-added tax planning and tax savings strategies for clients. Knowledge of accounting for income taxes under ASC 740 and

ASC 740-10.

Prior experience in supervising, training, or mentoring junior staff members. Competency in client billing processes and general administrative functions.
