$57.5K – $81.2K a year 10 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications CPA Mid-level Accounting Business Administration Enrolled Agent Accounting Communication skills Tax experience Full Job Description Tax Professional This position is located in the Tarpon Springs, FL offices and prepares business and individual income tax returns using Ultra Tax preparation software to many clients. This professional will also communicate to clients, review tax returns for accurancy and provide tax planning services for tax clients as well. The candidate is expected to work in a team atmosphere with our firm’s other accountants and to collaborate with them. This position is full-time with part-time options available.
Education:
College degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred, along with a minimum of three to five years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA or EA designation is preferred, or the candidate should be working towards one or both of these designations.
Required Skills:
Experience in preparing Federal income tax returns and resolving individual and business-related issues with the IRS. Knowledge of Federal income tax law, payroll taxes and federal payroll tax filing requirements, as well as accounting functions, financial reports, bookkeeping and the accounting cycle. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in small work teams and to communicate to individual cleints effectively Self driven and organized to meet various deadlines to timely complete tax returns Desired skills: Experience with Thomson Reuters’ Ultra Tax Software a plus Knowledge of US tax law as it pertains to business tax returns (1120S, 1120 and 1065) and individual tax returns (1040) •
