Seeking an experienced Tax Specialist who can execute a varietyof tax activities to ensure that the organization’s financialresources are managed in accordance with tax principles and complywith all relevant regulations, laws, and standards and ensure thattax activities are completed accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
As a Tax Specialist for US and Canada you willensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and contribute toour goal of maintaining financial accuracy and value addingservices to our business. You will be part of a team responsiblefor all tax-related functions, including filing tax returns,advising the leadership team and managing tax audits. Proficient intax accounting and knowledge of quarterly close processes utilizingtechnology in the preparation of the quarter and annual taxprovision and working with external auditors. Preparing andsubmitting local, state and federal tax returns and other direct orindirect tax related business filings in US and Canada. Analyzingcomplex transactions to ensure appropriate tax treatment.
Coordinate and deliver information when tax audits, inquiries andnotices from tax authorities. Performing technical tax research andstay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations in US &Canada and proactively identify potential risks or opportunitiesfor the organization. Preparation and understanding of localTransfer Pricing reports for US and Canada. Maintain documentationand supporting records related to tax filings, provisions and othertax-related activities.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree inaccounting or taxation, or a related field. Professionalqualification of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred or/andMasters in Tax. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax, preferablyin a corporate or public accounting environment. Exceptionalcommunication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaboratewith internal and external stakeholders. Excellent analytical andproblem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Strongtechnology skills; advanced excel user and other data analyticstools, Alteryx, Power BI, etc. Experience working with SAP andexperience working with tax software such as Longview, Vertex orsimilar is a plus.
