Job Description

Position Summary This position will be a combination of Tax and Treasury duties (primarily focused on Tax). You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the organization’s tax activities and ensure accurate and timely tax reporting, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and staying abreast of tax laws and regulations. Your expertise in tax compliance and planning will contribute to minimizing tax risks and maximizing tax efficiency for the organization. Other duties will include limited amount of cash management and forecasting.

Role and Responsibilities Tax Management:

Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes. Review tax-related documentation and financial records to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure adherence to tax compliance obligations. Analyze financial data and transactions to identify tax-saving opportunities and strategies. Provide guidance on tax planning initiatives, such as deductions, credits, and incentives. Optimize the organization’s tax position by minimizing tax liabilities within legal frameworks. Assist external consulting company to conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning decisions and proposals. Develop and implement internal tax policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance. Educate and train employees on tax compliance matters and relevant processes. Monitor tax compliance across the organization and provide guidance as needed. Maintain proper tax documentation and records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Prepare tax-related financial statements and disclosures in compliance with accounting standards. Analyze tax provisions and deferred tax assets/liabilities for financial reporting purposes. Assist in the preparation of tax forecasts and projections for budgeting and planning purposes. Generate tax reports and presentations for management review and decision-making.

Cash Management:

Monitor daily cash positions and forecast cash flows to ensure efficient liquidity management. Execute cash management strategies to meet operational requirements and minimize idle cash. Coordinate with banks to initiate fund transfers, manage bank accounts, and reconcile transactions. Maintain accurate cash records and prepare cash flow reports for management review.

Treasury Operations:

Execute and manage day-to-day treasury operations, including payments, receipts, and intercompany transactions. Monitor and reconcile treasury transactions, resolving any discrepancies or issues.

General Accounting:

Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries for accounting postings. Execute payroll interfaces and control #LI-Onsite Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Experience in tax compliance, tax planning, or related tax roles. Familiarity with tax software and financial systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
