Are you detail-oriented and looking to grow your career in the finance or mortgage industry? We’re looking for a Tax Specialist to join our Property Tax & Insurance Tracking team! In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring property tax payments are processed accurately and on time for a portfolio of loans across various states. You’ll work closely with a collaborative and knowledgeable team, gain valuable exposure to property tax processes, and help ensure we stay compliant with local regulations—all while delivering outstanding service to our customers and partners. What You’ll Be Doing Process Property Tax Payments Submit timely and accurate tax payments for assigned loans. Retrieve tax bills and verify billing projections. Ensure documentation meets specific county/jurisdictional requirements. Maintain accurate loan records and update supplier details as needed. Research & Escrow Setup Set up new loan accounts and confirm escrow calculations. Investigate property assessments and tax levies. Review tax suits and audit unregistered loans. Support Customers & Partners Respond to service requests and questions from customers, tax authorities, and vendors via phone and email. Prepare and submit required tax documentation (e.g., payoffs, registrations, assessments). Ensure Compliance & Maintain Records Audit loans for accuracy and support internal review processes. Monitor compliance queues and assist in resolving any tax-related issues. Keep up to date with policy changes and industry regulations. What You Bring to the Table High school diploma or GED required (some college a plus!). 0-2 years of related experience (we’ll train the right candidate!). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable using a computer and typing (25+ WPM). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
