The Department collects approximately 87% of state revenue, enforces the revenue laws fairly and impartially to encourage voluntary tax compliance, and apportions collections to the various state funds and local units of government. Job Overview:
The Tennessee Department of Revenue is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Revenue Special Projects Team. This is an intermediate position within the Special Projects Team responsible for supporting the Revenue Deputy Commissioner & CFO as well as the entire Revenue Leadership team in areas including: Technology adoption and implementation, reporting, data analysis, and special projects required by the business. This position does have the opportunity to work from home but also requires reporting to the office on a weekly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Revenue Special Projects Director in Vehicle Services Electronic Lien and Title (ELT) system implementation and adoption Assist the Revenue Special Projects Director in Vehicle Title and Registration System (VTRS) and reporting support Serve as a Key Liaison across Department of Revenue (DOR) Divisions on technology reporting and adoption. Assist Revenue Leadership Team on Tennessee Revenue Registration and Reporting System (TR3) Report Evaluation and Improvements Support Research Team on Monthly Tax Collections Reporting including data modeling and analysis Supports the organization on data projects and analysis including data extraction, collection, interpretation, and recommendations Requires the ability to interact with customers to identify data and business needs Requires the ability to work independently, communicate effectively and think critically
Minimum Qualifications:
