In this position, you will: Develop and deepen your understanding of tax laws and regulations through the preparation of individual and entity tax returns, including partnerships, corporations, estates and trusts, and not-for-profit organizations Assist with tax planning engagements, tax research projects, and other tax consulting projects, utilizing our extensive and top-rated online tax research resources Develop a better understanding of how CPA firms resolve tax controversies with the IRS and state taxing authorities by assisting experienced Managers with the resolution of tax issues Develop a solid understanding of general accounting skills, quality control measures, and professional standards Gain a deeper understanding of how public accounting firms serve as trusted advisors for a variety of clients and industries, which is one of the most rewarding aspects of a job in public accounting Be part of a collaborative client relationship team that values proactive, creative thinking and a commitment to providing extraordinary client service

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Plans to pursue CPA or EA licensing are preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Proactivity; strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills Intellectual curiosity and a desire to improve and grow Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a desire to be a team player Professional demeanor and attitude toward duties and responsibilities The Marston Group has long-term client relationships that frequently span multiple generations within families.
