COMPENSATION
Salary $75,000 – $110,000 TBD, based on education and experience 401k Plan Health/Dental/Vision Holidays & PTO Position Summary You would manage a variety of tax, accounting, and other assignments. At this level, you should be able to function with minimal supervision, and increased focus is placed on independent problem solving and increasing team profitability through work efficiencies. Your Contributions and Responsibilities Complete tax and/or audit projects, depending on your background and appetite for learning, for designated clients as directed with minimal oversight. Accept increasing responsibility for engagement phases from initiation through completion. Recognize potential problem areas during engagements and propose effective solutions. Conduct business research – gather/analyze data, interpret/report results and provide recommendations. Strengthen and maintain client relationships through professionalism and responsiveness. Enhance skills by seeking out and completing important CPE and other training courses as needed. Increase the team’s profitability by managing your time and the time of support staff efficiently, contributing ideas and adding value. Mentor interns and entry level staff. Other duties and projects as assigned. Your Qualifications College degree and at least 3 years of experience and/or appropriate balance of education and work experience. Current CPA license or CPA candidate a plus. Experience in some combination of the following areas would be preferred: Non-Profit Organization Filings; Business Taxation (Corporate/Partnership/LLC); complex 1040 and/or 1041 Returns; Non-Profit Audits/Reviews; Single Audit/Uniform Guidance; Municipal Audits. Your Background and Skills Exhibit a strong understanding of accounting and tax rules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate a high level of intellectual curiosity. Perform work accurately and in a time-efficient manner with strong attention to detail. Strong organizational and follow-through skills. Ability to effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload, effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities. Ability to accept constructive feedback from management and make adjustments as directed. Ability to work collaboratively and foster a productive, team-oriented environment. Strong computer skills (QuickBooks, MS Office Suite) required; Ultra Tax and/or Advanceflow software experience a plus. Maintain a professional demeanor with coworkers and clients. Some tax season overtime may be required based on workflow and deadlines.
