City Clerk City of Gonzales Gonzales, LA Job Details Part-time $1,500 a month 1 day ago Qualifications Mid-level Full Job Description Job Overview As required by law, attends all meetings (regular and special) of the Mayor and City Council, keeps all official proceedings for the Mayor and City Council, keeps on file at City Hall such books and records as may be provided for by ordinance, preserve all records and paper pertaining to the business of the municipality; ensures proper publication of all official proceedings as required by State law. Serves as ex-officio tax collector and has ultimate responsibility for the City tax programs. Responsible for the collection of the Occupation license tax, ad valorem tax and the receipt of the city sales tax, and alcohol license. Responsible for all public record requests. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about serving their community while ensuring efficient administrative operations within the city government.
