WHAT IS THE TAXPAYER SERVICES DIVISION?

A description of the business units can be found : Vacancies filled in the following specialty areas: Taxpayer Services Service Center Austin Submission Processing. Taxpayer Services Service Center Kansas City Submission Processing. Taxpayer Services Service Center Ogden Submission Processing. The following are the duties of this position the full working level. Researches a variety of sources, analyzes, and inities actions on tax issues obtaining applicable returns, schedules, and all required informion for correction of accounts and records; verifies, analyzes and adjusts taxpayer accounts. Secures payment of delinquent taxes and filing of delinquent returns. Determines financial, levy source, adjustment and uncollectible informion; advises taxpayers of appeal procedures. May serve as a technical advisor, OJT coach, classroom instructor, or reviewer, and provide technical assistance on systemic problems and inconsistencies in IRMs. Performs other duties as assigned. This position has career progression. If you are selected a grade level lower than the full working level, you may be non-competitively promoted as your career progresses. For example, you may be hired as a GS-05, but if the position has career progression to GS-11, then you may move from a GS-05 to a GS-11 in as little as three years. You must have 1 year of specialized experience a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include interactions with the public analyzing tax or accounting issues.
