About the Position
The job entails reviewing and correcting tax returns during the last stage of the processing cycle before returns and payments are posted to the MARS account. Work from a MARS worklist, reviewing and making sure payments and returns are correctly posted or staged to an appropriate level. Returns are reviewed for mathematical errors, completeness, incorrect information, improper tax form, and/or no tax form and to check for certain schedules to ensure proper posting to the customer’s account. Communicate with management any issues with work items and cases.
What you’ll need to be Successful
Good analytical and math skills. Good communications skills. Strong data entry skills, good work ethic, punctuality, and regular attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 4 years of experience.
Agency preferred qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, 4 years of experience and a valid MS Driver’s License. A data entry skills assessment may be required.
